Warranty Period
Free Replacement Period and Pro-Rata Period: The label on every ACDelco battery specifies the total number of months covered by the free replacement and pro-rata periods, applicable to batteries fitted in private cars, multi-utility vehicles, two-wheelers, and more.
Commercial Vehicle Warranty: For batteries fitted in commercial vehicles or metered taxis, the warranty period is limited to 12 months from the date of sale.

Online Battery Registration: To avail warranty benefits, online battery warranty registration is mandatory at the time of battery purchase. Please follow the registration instructions on the back of the warranty card.

Fitment and Usage

Warranty Claims Process
In the event of a complaint, the battery must be returned to the Company's Authorized Dealer in an
untampered and complete condition. The warranty claim will be processed, and any replacement or
discount will be given Freight on Receipt (FOR) to the same point of purchase.

Pro-Rata Warranty
For claims settled under pro-rata warranty, a discount will be applied based on the prevailing MRP (Maximum
Retail Price) of an equivalent ACDelco battery at the time of claim settlement.

Manufacturing Defects Coverage
ACDelco batteries are covered against manufacturing defects during the warranty period. However, the warranty does not cover defects arising from faulty material, poor workmanship, or external damage caused by improper handling, installation, or use.
Exclusions
The warranty is not applicable under the following conditions:
If the battery is used in an incorrect application or in a non-vehicular application.
If the battery is damaged due to accidents, fire, explosions, or mechanical shock such as hammering.
If the battery’s serial number, barcode, or manufacturing code has been tampered with or removed.
If the battery is discharged for long periods or improperly topped up with substances other than distilled water conforming to IS specifications.
If the battery is used in an incorrect application or in a non-vehicular application.
If the battery is damaged due to accidents, fire, explosions, or mechanical shock such as hammering.

Battery Disposal and Recycling
ACDelco batteries are non-disposable. We encourage our customers to return the battery to the nearest ACDelco dealer for recycling or cashback, as specified by the company.
Liability Limitations
ACDelco’s liability is limited solely to the replacement or pro-rata discount of the battery, and the company is not responsible for any personal injury, consequential damage, or loss arising from battery failure.
Additional Costs
Any local taxes, octroi duties, or additional charges applicable at the time of battery repair or replacement shall be borne by the customer.
Warranty Termination
The warranty shall cease if:
The battery is out of the warranty period.
The battery is transferred to a third party.

There is improper servicing by unauthorized dealers or auto electricians, or the battery has been subjected to misuse or wilful damage.
